Hey. I played Galaxies for almost 3 years since it was released but quit following the NGE. However, i%26#39;ve always wanted to return, mainly for the economy/housing/items/crafting/businesses and so on. but i was always put off by the fact that the crafting professions were merged into 4 (i think), and each player could have 2 characters, so everyone was able to be a crafter of some sorts..which kinda ruined it for me.. i used to have a really succesful business on the Chimera server which i loved maintaining.Anyway, first off, where can i get the free-trial for the game? (if they still do one).and second, if theres anyone out there, at all, that still plays, hows the game progressed since? better/worse, what kinda changes have been made and do you reckon it%26#39;s improved in the area%26#39;s i mentioned at the beginning of this post, as thats what means the most to me.Many Thanks.Star Wars Galaxies

i just quite about 2 weeks ago idk it just got boreing for me cities are deserted except for maybe 2 and guilds arent rlly doing much these days

I played for around 2 years.  It%26#39;s not worth gong back.  Don%26#39;t give SOE more money to say ''oh look people are still paying to play lets keep the game going!'' No... it%26#39;s dead.  Pre-CU SWG was the greatest MMO I%26#39;ve ever played.  I miss it yes, but it%26#39;s dead.:cry:

been playing for almost 4 years now and still going...barely.  the game has come A LONG LONG way since the NGE.  Creature Handler is making a comeback next publish but in different form.   A lot of pre nge stuff is back and the next publish is suppose to increase NPC difficulty.  However even with all these great changes and old stuff being brought back into the game, it still gets VERY boring VERY quickly.  I haven%26#39;t even logged in game in days just because there%26#39;s nothing left to do.  There%26#39;s also about to be a great housing purge finally, but houses (whose account owners haven%26#39;t had an active subscription in 1 year) will be packed up into player datapads (not destroyed).  Economy is over inflated and it%26#39;s very easy to get hundreds of millions of credits.  Crafting still really isn%26#39;t as important as it once was, and weaponsmith%26#39;s are still completely meaningless.  The only strong business so it seems is selling rare loot which now is pretty much only stuff that you could find pre nge that you can find anymore.  If your just looking to mainly do crafting, then it%26#39;s really not worth it.  A free trial is a free trial but I wouldn%26#39;t pay for it.
90% of the people I saw when I tried the 14-day trial were all jedis ... It used to be super secret, super hard (lots of grind) to be able to create a jedi character.. Don't bother. It's gone for good.
Dig deep for a trial and make sure the disc you have is installed on your computer.
