W/e, I've been with xp for 4 years, I can wait another couple of years
I'm perfectly happy with XP. Tried the Vista RTM and hated it so much. When games start requiring Vista I may finally decide to upgrade. Until then, XP all the way.
Hmm, today I visited the Dell kiosk at the mall. I tried out Vista and the sales rep kept trying to make me buy it. I stumped him on the Drivers question though. The thing is that...Vista seemed so slow...Not like...SLuggish slow, but more like moving in Slow Mo. Anyone who has Vista noticed that?
of course i wouldn't buy vista if dx.10 was available on XP
I have Vista Home Premium, and I dont care if it even has DX 10 now(which it does)! Vista is sooo awesome!!!!!

Nope. XP is perfectly fine and does everything I need. There wouldn't be any reason to upgrade to Vista if XP had DX10.

If it was a Dell, it would probably have a GMA 950\simmilar crap graphics chip. With a high-end gaming rig\workstation, Vista should run fine.



I guess MS is really crapping on PC gamers with vista...

Why do you think Microsoft won't make DX10 for XP. Because they know no one will get Vista if they made DX10 XP compatible.

[/QUOTE]Fact is, though, people like Drizzt are not the majority of the PC GAMER market. This is why the response here is so bitter, because the lack of DX10 in Windows XP means forcing Vista down a lot of gamer's throats.

Frankly, I don't need to upgrade. I've got Windows XP tweaked just the way I want it, benchmarks for Vista are not coming back very positive at this point, I am in no hurry to upgrade whatsoever. Not until games can be proven to consistently run as smoothly on Vista as on XP, or the games I want to buy no longer support XP in a manner I'm satisfied with.


I'm quite happy with my XP Pro.Next Year i may buy Vista .
