looking for a good fps game with a good story in it

OK I played the Infernal demo and I gotta say I liked it. but once I seen the hell message stuff it kind of turned me off. Is there any games out there like it but with a decent story to portray? I don%26#39;t know much about pc gaming as I play 360.looking for a good fps game with a good story in it

F.E.A.R. would be a good one, for 360 or PC. But it is better on PC in my opinion.Or if you want the same kind of action, without the horror and gore, turn your eyes to Half Life 2, one of the greatest PC games to date. 
Max Payne 2 has a pretty interesting story to tell and some great gameplay.
STALKER for something a bit different (FPS with a touch of RPG or something)FEAR has a good storyline, but the speed of the game is boring.Call of Duty 2 would be my personal recommendation.  I loved this game (one of only 3 that I%26#39;ve ever actually finished).  If you don%26#39;t mind WWII, this is a good choice.If you want something fast and crazy, try Painkiller or Soldier of Fortune 2 
How is that game called Painkiller? Are the graphics nice? I like a game to have good lighting.
Oh and both have good visuals and very engaging stories. Although FEAR%26#39;s story is more along the lines of hunting down things and going into dark places and almost like a horror survival game, it still has a good story.Or you may like Half Life 2%26#39;s story better, I sure liked it better as it just kept on unraveling the story and is so fun. Also it comes with Counter Strike: Source a great multiplayer game. Also has many good expansions/follow up%26#39;s with Episode%26#39;s One and Two.Here%26#39;s another recommendation,  Call of Duty 2, good story line and visuals and nice presentation (Music/Sound Effects) but if you%26#39;re not into WWII Shooters then this is a no-no. 
Beat Call of duty 2 and 3 already.
OK I downloaded Painkiller. Good grief it has satanic symbola in it. Isn%26#39;t there any good games out there thats%26#39;s fps without all this devil bull crap?
Half life kept me engaged in the story all way through; also although it%26#39;s not really a fps Splinter Cell(Pandora Tomorrow) had a good story line.

Half life 2...rainbow six vegas is great too.
Halo, Condemned and Marathon all have superb plots. If you don%26#39;t mind if the story is a bit cryptic STALKER is a good choice also.
