C&C: Generals or Starcraft?

I need help deciding which game to buy...can anyone help me?C%26amp;C: Generals or Starcraft?
Though I have not played C%26C Generals, Starcraft is in my opinion the best real time strategy game ever made. I would recomend buying theStarcraft Battlechest.C%26amp;C: Generals or Starcraft?
C%26C: Generals + Zero Hour. More modern. I havent touched SC since the days of lanning at my friends house.
i am addicted to c%26c generals right now. im gonna get the expansion. so go get C%26c. starcraft is a bt too old for today.
The fanbase is still quite strong for StarCraft. I haven%26#39;t played Generals, but I%26#39;m still playing StarCraft more than I play Command %26 Conquer 3. I%26#39;d go with StarCraft.

I, personally, like Starcraft better. And, isn%26#39;t Generals an FPS? I THINK I have it, but I can%26#39;t remember now. But, anyways, yeah, I would choose Starcraft. :)
I%26#39;ll be honest and say I%26#39;ve never gotten into starcraft, I really like generals and zero hour though, zero hour is almost as long as the generals itself in single player and it adds nice upgrades/units.
Hard choice.C%26C Generals if you love your tank rushes and turtling tactics.Starcraft if you like tech wars.Starcraft was a brilliant game in its day, but obviously (being 9 years old) it%26#39;s graphics and gameplay (as well as some of the sound quality) is a bit dated.
Generals is a more modern experience, which I tend to find way too slow for modern RTSs.I know it%26#39;s not one of the above options, but if you don%26#39;t already have it, consider Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War %26 the expansions.
Starcraft will get you much more fun C%26C generals isn%26#39;t a very fun game and its mulitplayer is terrible they%26#39;ve only updated like twice in the six years its been out and the mulitplayer is always slow on custom games so unless you want to spend 3 hours playing 80 minutes of gameplay you will want to stick with starcraft.
Generals didnt have a very cohesive story.  The expansion did a little better.Starcraft had an epic story line.

I really liked C%26C: Generals but seriously, no other RTS has ever been more fun than Starcraft.

Starcraft and the expansion Brood War is the way to go man. It may be old but I find the simplisticness of the game to be great. I%26#39;m still playing the game online with friends and even the single player campaign once in awhile.

Company of Heroes and Dawn of War are the best RTSs now a-days
