Shadowbane? Does anyone play this?

I heard the PVP is great. And has been free for a little while now.Shadowbane? Does anyone play this?
I have never played it... however it looks interesting :)Shadowbane? Does anyone play this?
ive never played it myself, but ive heard nothing but good things about it
LOL, That%26#39;s the thing. Everyone has heard good things about it, or it looks interesting...but no one has ever played it!!I just downloaded the client...looks like I read a little bit more and give it a go.
I played it.. I didn%26#39;t enjoy it very much. But I can say one thing.. It definitely is worth trying, it%26#39;s very, very unique, the whole %26#39;feel%26#39; of the game is very Shadowbane-ish.. It%26#39;s very PvP based.. You fight against other guilds that are enemies to your guild, and there are networks of friends and enemies.. You can sometimes just randomly get attacked.. It%26#39;s basically purely PvP based, so the PvE isn%26#39;t all that great, and it%26#39;s still MMORPG style, so the PvP is.. Well, it%26#39;s understandably made the way it is. It%26#39;s not exactly skill based.. And as for being level based.. Certain classes simply cannot win fights, they can only %26#39;help win%26#39; fights. It was enjoyable for the time that I played it, though, and you can build really strong friendships with your guilds. I highly suggest anyone try it.. But in the end it just wasn%26#39;t that much fun, as good as a game it was. It%26#39;s worth noting that I tracked this game before it was released, and hyped it, and played it and it was alright.. But this was all in the earliest build. It may have been very upgraded by now. One thing to say about that is PvP based MMOs more than PvE based MMOs take a long, long time to become better, because of balance issues and such. It could be awesome, now.
I won%26#39;t bother writing up an epic post about why to skip this one but I will say I made the mistake of buying into the hype of this game way back when it originally launched. I didn%26#39;t even make through the first free month that came with the box before I uninstalled it. It was actually more buggy and laggy than AO when it first came out (a feat I never thought anyone would beat). I%26#39;m positive that within the first 3 months of the game 80%+ of the players quit the game and only a handful of diehards stuck around. To be honest I%26#39;m actually quite surprised that they have managed to keep the game alive all these years. If it%26#39;s free now then it doesn%26#39;t hurt to try it out but if it%26#39;s anything like I remember it you won%26#39;t even play it for a full week before you quit.
