A GREAT, FREE, alternative to World of Warcraft

The game I%26#39;m talking about it Silkroad Online. Now I%26#39;m not much of a MMORPG player, I prefer myself some Battlefield 2142 but I just tried out this game and so far it seems great. I haven%26#39;t played much WOW so I can%26#39;t make any great comparisons but anyone who%26#39;s cheap and looking for a fun, great looking, online experience here it is. But I have to say that some of the translation is sub-par and there are a few bugs here and there.

Pros:
-Fun
-Great Graphics
-Nice soundtrack/sound-effects
-FREE

Cons:-Sub-par translation
-Servers are usually full
-Lag (sometimes)

If what bothers you in WoW is the monthly fee but you%26#39;re willing to pay just for getting the game, a good one is Guild wars. I found Silkroad to be too repetitive, all quests involve killing a constantly higher number of monsters.A GREAT, FREE, alternative to World of Warcraft

I disagree with you. I%26#39;ve never really liked WoW or any MMORPG%26#39;s, I never play them for more than a month. But, I%26#39;ve tried Silk Road and it doesn%26#39;t have AT ALL the atmosphere of WoW or its freedom. This said, I would rather pay 15-20 bucks/month and have a good game than having a crappy free game.
Silkroad sucked a big nut ...and like all free mmo%26#39;s they aren%26#39;t very good and unless you like extremely repetitive gameplay, story, and quests.

From a hardcore perspective.. it is not rewarding at all. Now, if you think the game itself is fun, go for it. There%26#39;s just no traditional play much=receive much in Guild Wars. So no matter if you play 24/7 and is the best player ever... you won%26#39;t be superior to the others. It takes about a week to max your character out, after that you can just change oyur looks. 
and here i thought you were going to pitch up the idea of runescape haha

I%26#39;ve given up on all MMORPGs atm. There is just so much crap out there, it seems to be flooding the net.

silkroad is no comparison to WOW...its a free asian click mmo just like the rest....i hated guildwars...i guess i have wierd taste cuz i dig trickster, goonzu, lineage 2, final fantasy online, albatross 18 and a few others.
Everyone bashes WoW but honestly it is a very good game. I recently quit because there was nothing more for me to do, and can guarantee I will go back when they launch the next expansion. Everyone complains how WoW sucks so much yet I guarantee none of them have ever been 70.
There%26#39;s no such thing as a good free MMO.
