Best shooter

What is your FAVORITE pc shooter of all time? Mine would have to be soldier front. (its also free)  SF is kinda like CS 1.6 but with slightly better graphics and lots better gameplay.Best shooter
Half Life (1, 2, and all the available mods for each). Best shooter
far cry and its upcoming predecessor crysis:D IMO i feel that far cry has the most impressive graphics ever especially the jungle settings way better than half life 2

Gotta go with Rise of the Traids, myself.  In my opinion, this game revolutionized the head-to-head aspect of FPS, introducing a variety of game types beyond the standard deathmatch.  It was also one of the first to have a truly 3d environment.  Compare it with Doom 2, the other major FPS at the time. Close behind this is Doom 1+2 (not 3), Half Life 1+2, Goldeneye, and Halo. 
I can%26#39;t just choose one, i have to do two. Doom 3 and Medal of Honor allied assualt. I stll play those two today.

hmmmm for me it would have to be between the HL series or Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast (Academy was bad)

u guys really think farcry over HL? that suprises me, i didnt think farcry was anything above average. oh well matter of opinion
i think far cry is an awesome choice, I wouldn%26#39;t rate it above half life but I can see how many would and think it%26#39;s deserving of being rated so highly :)

Soldier Front....?  I%26#39;m going to have to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it%26#39;s the only FPS you%26#39;ve ever played.    Anyways...  Mine would be Americas Army.  
while i%26#39;d like to say system shock 2, i don%26#39;t really consider it a ''shooter'' - it%26#39;s too much a hybrid and there%26#39;s never really a focus on shootingmy favourite full blown shooter is and will always be doom %26 doom 2, but of recent stuff, i%26#39;d put f.e.a.r very highly up there 
For me it%26#39;s a toss up between Farcry and the Half Life series.
I would have to say that my favorite is between fear and hl2.  I really can not wait until Crysis. :)
Battlefield 1942 ! :) But nowadays its still Battlefield 2 :D
