can mac computers play pc games?new to pc gaming question
yes, but few and far in between i believe.new to pc gaming question
It can%26#39;t play the vast majority of games. Any game you see on the shelves probably won%26#39;t play on a straight mac, unless it specifically states that it can. That said, you can install windows on a mac, so you can play games that way, but you might as well just get a PC, IMO. recently, mac companies have been trying to make a program that will allow you to play any PC game on a mac using some sort of driver substitution or something, but I don%26#39;t really know anything ab out that. hope that helps
thanks that helps alot
the only game i know of that plays aon a mac is WoW
Yes a mac can run PC only games But.... You need to buy special software that allows the comp to read the game. I cant remember what it is called off hand but it goes something like window ware but still I%26#39;m not sure. My best Advice it to just get a pc because even with the software for a mac you will run into ALOT of problems that may disable you from playing some games (some games just don%26#39;t cope). And besides nobody actually considers macs (other then crazy mac people) as a viable platform (pretty much no games come out for it).

[/QUOTE]Just to elaborate on this a lil, the program is called ''bootcamp'' and is free. The copy of Windows (XP or Vista), however, will cost you. Also, it only works on the newer Macs with Pentium Dual-Cores. Hope that helps :)edit: Just remembered something. Bootcamp will also allow you to boot into other OS%26#39;s such as Linux. I know there are flavors of Linux that will run Windows programs too (Such as Kill Bill). How well this works for PC games, however, is outside my realm of knowledge. It would be a free alternative though, if it works. With any luck, someone who knows more to this extent will happen by ;)
