Ever think for a second you were going to die as you fell from a cliff in a FPS?

Ever think you were going to die in real life, for a second, as you fell off a cliff in a FPS?  If so, what game? The bridge scene in HL2 single player did this to me a couple of times. Ever think for a second you were going to die as you fell from a cliff in a FPS?
Halo1 for PC, Battlefield 2 (Fly jet straight up and it magicly increases speed).Ever think for a second you were going to die as you fell from a cliff in a FPS?
Eh... no. Maybe if I was drinking or smoking something...
I've had nightmares of me running around on buildings and falling down.. So when I fall down in a game that looks crisp and runs smooth, I get this ''swoosh'' in my stomach.. Weird stuff :)

The bridge scene in HL2 was the only moment in gaming where I actually felt like I was *really* high up and could lose my balance at any second.   Not too sure what they used to create that feeling, but more games definitely need to use it...  In other games, even when falling I just say ''damnit, that sucks'' and restart without breaking a sweat.   To answer the original question, no....I%26#39;ve never felt like I%26#39;d die in real life from a video game....

I get the same feelings playing the original UT and Q3A when you are jumping around and miss and just fall and fall and fall till you squish yourself on another building or object. Then later I night I%26#39;ll sometimes revisit this in my nightmares as well.
Yes. Though, it wasn%26#39;t an fps. It was Max Payne. The first time I fell off of the Aesir Corp. building while lining up my sniper to the second line holding up the comm. antenna...Well, let%26#39;s just say it%26#39;s a long way down from there...

Games are not real...FYI...
Yes they aren%26#39;t real, but they still can cause real life body/mental reactions similar to the reactions you may get from something you do in real life. For me it was the bridge in HL2 as well. Seems like that has happened to a lot of people. :P

[/QUOTE]Ya, Halflife 2: Episode 1 did it for me.  It was in the beginning where youre in that van and Dog hangs you over the ledge for a second.  That was pretty crazy, almost felt like you were on one of those suspended roller coasters; you could almost feel the straps digging into your shoulder.s.
Uh...no.

Happends sometimes to me when I%26#39;m totally focussed on the game and something unexpected happends that involves me falling. The ''swoosh'' in your stomach, that is. I never think ''Oh my god! I%26#39;m going to die! OH MY GOD!'' while playing a game.
No...I just get that chill, but I don%26#39;t really fear for real death.
yes...and TC your rig is almost exactly the same as mine :P
On the bridge in Half Life 2 I definitely had this %26#39;I%26#39;m gonna die!%26#39; feeling once. But hey, that%26#39;s what you get for playing 6 hours straight...
Nah. I do agree that in Battlefield 2 when you fly straight up and jump out its kinda scarry...but not really. I could just use the parachute anyway if I was terrified of it. And the halo thing well...I play it so much Im used to anything like that
Nope, I always go ''weeeeeeeeeeeee'' when I notice I'm falling from a cliff. :D
