Does anyone feel this is a vile idea for a video game. That its bound to offend people? These are characters based on many peoples faith. Would we have done this to Muslims or Hindus? No. Cause there is a growning Anti Christian movement that likes to make a mockery of the faith. Left Behind: Tribulation force was a christian game that was panned by every critic (and maybe rightfully so, I don%26#39;t know I didn%26#39;t play it ) and even reported on CNN. But this Bible Fight hasn%26#39;t gotten a single piece of bad press. I know I come off as a bible thumping christian. And actually I%26#39;m not. I don%26#39;t go to church, haven%26#39;t read the entire bible, and don%26#39;t subscribe to one particlar church. I%26#39;m christian but I don%26#39;t consider myself catholic or baptist or otherwise. but I just feel this game was wrong and wanted to know how other felt. Adult Swim's Bible Fight
Can you name a single Veda or give me the names of 5 Islamic Prophets? I bet you can%26#39;t.The reason the media choose Biblical figures is because they%26#39;re easily recognisable. If it was called ''DEVA FIGHT!'' or ''QISAS AL-ANBIYA FIGHT!'' people would ignore it.
Adult Swim's Bible Fight
What you fail to realize is that the game is making fun of bible thumpers who get offended by this kind of material.
Religion is always the most enjoyable to mock at. It deserves it.

It%26#39;s a time-honored tradition among atheists and liberals. Because Christians and Whites have dominated the world and the US for so long, it is somehow considered not racist or hateful to mock and attack these groups. In liberal countries such as the US, hate speech is only tolerated if it is directed at the majority. In conservative countries such as Saudi Arabia, hate speech is only tolerated if it is directed at the minority.C%26#39;est la vie.

If the game was called Mohammed Fight (PBUH), the developers would be ordered killed by an Iranian Mullah%26#39;s Fatwa. The media would play the game up and talk about the anti-Muslim movement sweeping the nation. I think Jesus would have fun playing Bible Fight.

If you%26#39;ve never watched this channel.. Every single thing constantly on this Adult Swim thing is basically as bad as the people making the channel can possibly legally make it. I%26#39;m assuming the anti-everything complainy people that love to have agendas and love to feel offended just gave up by now, or they just have an over-all attack against the channel, and don%26#39;t even bother attacking individual things against them

...And why is this in the PC gaming forum?
I guess a lot of you are correct that the majority are easy targets. I remember serveral years ago the tv show Xena did a storyline about Hindu God%26#39;s of worship the same way it did the Greek gods. But they forgot that we all accept greeks gods as myth and the Hindu faith is believed by many. This lead to a public outcry about the Xena show. the writer%26#39;s rewrote the show to shorten the storyline. My point is that sometimes it seems that these other faiths have more power in a country that was built on Christianity. My more religious friends believe its just a sign of the times. That these are the end of days. (?don%26#39;t ask me?:? I don%26#39;t know) And that things will get worse. I look at them and say its just a game. As bad an idea for a game as a Virgina Tech Massacre game based on the Doom Engine.
First off, I just want to say that I am not anti-christian.With that said, I just want to say that christianity is extremely hard to take seriously. When you have fools like Pat Robinson (who, I might add, still has his own show despite the horrible things he says) speaking for you, it makes you all look bad.Whats worse is that Christian%26#39;s black and white thinking wont let them speak out against fellow Christians. When Pat Robinson said that hurricane Katrina was punishment from God for tolerationg homosexuality in New Orleans, I didnt read, see, or hear a single priest or christian leader condemn him.Religion played an important role in world history; it got us out of some really dark times, and it gave us hope. In addition, the black and white thinking was also necessary to protect and unify one%26#39;s people. Yet nowadays, the world just doesnt need that kind of ignorance.I love walking through downtown San Francisco and seeing a Buddhist shrine, then two blocks down I see a Jewish temple, and then half a block to the right I see a Catholic church, and then a mile down the road I see muslims pointing toward Mecca as they pray. Growing up, I thought that was how the world worked, as a nice pleasant grey area of tolerance.
Yet after going to a college where the majority of the students are white, christian, and conservative farmers, I realize that most of the country isnt like that. My roommates had a Bible study each week, and every time they met they asked me to join them, and when I declined they told me straight to my face that I was going to hell. That just isnt right in my book. So, for us damned people, I think a Bible Fight game is just fine. And dont tell us how Christians are stereotyped against, especially considering the perverted, corrupt, and violent history the Church has. And dont give me any of this bleeding-heart ''oooh the conservative is a dying breed crap;'' I always see Christians passing out flyers and whatnot, but you never see atheists recruiting people. Christians, relax...you are still the majority at least in the US.
...And why is this in the PC gaming forum?
cause its a game you play on your PC. Hence PC gaming forum.
Because it%26#39;s a game, playable on the PC. A %26#39;PC game%26#39; if you will. Try it.

I believe you just committed the ''If A, then B, NOT A, therefore NOT B'' logical fallacy.I was not referring to the Danish cartoon scandal. But surf the web for information on The Religion of Peace and learn about Muslim reactions to truly humorous takes on their beliefs; granted, the Danish thing was not strictly comedy, and so some may say the outrage was legit, but even when the context is purely humour, the Muslims get real ticked off (and by the Muslims, I don%26#39;t mean every individual Muslim; plenty I personally know are quite chill).
