http://planetcnc.gamespy.com/fullstory.php?id=119665Great news, shows PC gaming is having a great start for 2007.PC version of C%26amp;C3 hits 1 million
Woooohoooo....combine that with the fact that another great and well-recieved RTS (SupCom) was released as well, and you can smack anyone who says ''PC gaming is dying'' with a nice slimy 10-pound salmon.  *SLAP*PC version of C%26amp;C3 hits 1 million
Two words: hell yes.
It%26#39;s good to see another pc game sell well besides WoW.;)

Nice.
LOL it%26#39;s so sad I bought the game on release day but have yet to install it and play it haha i%26#39;ve been so busy beating games I never beat in the past like FEAR, Oblivion, Stalker....once I beat stalker though this one is definantly next I hope its good.
Some nice news for a change, only just bought the game but haven%26#39;t played it much yet :)
good news. At least we know Big titles still sell well on PC :)
Great to hear.

Depressing news really, it%26#39;s actually pretty sad that it%26#39;s already dropped off the top 10 on xfire given this many sales and it%26#39;s big name.Seriously they could have rereleased Generals  and merely changed the colors of the units and sold a million copies of CnC 3, the CnC fans just eat up remakes.

Good to see PC gaming is back on track after its prolong slump. Hopefully it%26#39;s a sign of good things to come for PC gamers!

What CnC 3 essentially is, just a bad shallow buggy RTS game, it%26#39;s really depressing that their is so much innovation in PC gaming yet rehashed decade old concepts like CnC, Doom and etc are making most of the money.Lmao EA didn%26#39;t even give the dam remake a solid release, they are so cheap they didn%26#39;t even bother to have an open beta to weed out the games MAJOR balance issues, right now everyone playing the game knows the balance is a freaking joke. Yes that might all change with the new patch, but the point is the game should have been fairly balanced off the line. Then there are all the major connection issues people are still having.It%26#39;s really quite amazing that a game that sold 1 million in less then 2 months would already be off the top ten on xfire, it just goes to show you how dissapointed most of the players are with the games current online scene. I mean look at the frozen thrown, that game came out YEARS ago, only sold about 2 million and it currently has around twice the amount of player online at the moment. They could have crapped in a box and sold that many CnC copies.

So pointing out just one game and derailing the purpose of this threads seems rather silly.:?

I honestly thought Sup Com would demolish CnC3, but there ya go.
I honestly thought Sup Com would demolish CnC3, but there ya go.
Gameplay wise sure, sales wise it really would be insane to think supcom could even compete, first off the CnC is a well established franchise that always sells a million plus. They are now backed by EA who probably spent more money on the dam advertising then the actual game and the game has fairly low requirements. Not to mention the game is completely idiot proof, hell you could even teach your average toddler how to play it I reckon. Now contrast that to Supcom which has the steepest requirements of any game to date, is extremely unfriendly to noobs, is a brand new IP and was backed by THQ a publsiher that probably wasn%26#39;t even capable of spending a tenth of what EA did on advertising.Supreme Commander given all this will be lucky to sell a quarter of whatever CnC 3 ends at.And Pedro I think your dead wrong on those remarks, theirs different degrees of how much a game can be rehashed as well and CnC 3 is basically the same as the old ones with a new story and faction. It even happens to have some of the old problems as well  like the game being a train wreck as far as balance goes and the games awful netcoding courtsy of the awful SAGE engine thats nearly a decade old now.
