Good medieval strategy game

Does anybody know about some good strategy games that takes place in medieval Europe, that don%26#39;t just focus on war and such, but also alot on the other stuff of the middle ages, like diplomacy, knighthood and lordship, the rise of new towns, merchants and stuff.If that%26#39;s too hard to find, what good strategy games are there about medieval Europe that include warfare? Good medieval strategy game
Medieval 2: Total War.Good medieval strategy game
Look no further than Medieval 2 total war my friend. It pretty much has everything you mention. You can manage settlements similar to civilisation and conquer new ones across europe and the middle east. It has the added bonus of featuring massive scale battles that look amazing. Of course if battles aint your thing you can always auto resolve them and play the whole game on the map screen, either way this game is fantastic.
Medieval2 is great, but it is mostly about battles, the strategy part is preety simplistic. If you want grand strategy check out Knights of Honor and most of all Crusader Kings

you really should try Knights of Honor ;)
Also you can try Roma: Total War
For something a lot more technical, diplomatic, and historically accurate - try Europa Universalis III.

Medieval 2: Total War but I prefer the classic Rome: Total War.
